자연을 벗 삼아 놀던 유년 시절과 사랑에 대한 그리움을 바탕으로 인간 내면의 기억을 압축해 시적으로 표현한다.
46여회의 개인전과 770여회의 그룹전.
대한민국 미술대전 심사위원 및 운영위원 역임.
국립 현대미술관, 서울 시립미술관, 외교통상부, 서울 고등검찰청, 산업은행, 서울 아산병원 등 다양한 기관에 작품이 소장, 중학교 미술 교과서에 등재되어있다.
원광대 미술과, 홍익대 대학원 졸.

Korea SHIN CHEOL has had 46 solo exhibitions since 1986 and over 770 group exhibitions in Korea, US, China etc. Also he has served as a member of the panel of judges at the Grand art exhibition of Korea. SHIN Cheol has talked about love, relationship and humanism thru his works. He depicts specific moments of love and memories without any explanation, since he believes each of us can find our own stories from the canvas.
