권소영 작가는 자연과 풍경을 관찰하고 사유한다. 종이에 기록된 산과 들과 하늘은 시간의 순차와 공간의 연속성이 없이 작가의 감흥에 따라 분할과 재구성을 통해 만들어진 기억의 공간이다. 작가는 동양화의 전통을 이어가며, 국내외 곳곳의 풍경을 한국적이면서도 현대적인 감각으로 재탄생시킨다.
개인전 11회, 단원 미술관, 이천시립월전미술관, 겸재정선미술관 등 다수의 미술관과 갤러리 전시참여.
2017, 2014, 2013 겸재 정선 내일의 작가상, 2009년 한국미술대전 최우수상 등 다수 수상.

KWON Soyoung is an emerging Korean oriental painter. Her works that are recreated with meaningful places are inspired by nature and natural landscapes in Korea. She inherits an oriental painting tradition and rebirth with a modern edge. Her works have been exhibited in many museums, galleries, institutions in Korea and various parts of private collections. She has a highly acclaimed artistic reputation as an emerging young oriental painter in the art scene.
